We would like to extend our sincere gratitude to the reviewer Raghunathan Kandoth and the poet Smruti Ranjan Mohanty. Poem: A LOOK AT LIFE-77 MY WORLD Do I have anything Except for your love? Do I need to have anything Anyone else When you are with me Bathing my body and mind In the perennial stream of love? What if If they do not love me? Do I need anyone's concern? With all your affection surrounding me I feel as if I am the king of my destiny The monarch of what I see When you are around I have the whole world Joy and ecstasy revolving around me I feel intoxicated With the wine of your love No desire to come out of the spell To face reality before I say my final goodbye. It is your smile That gets me going It is your presence That is so soothing You stand majestically In between heaven and hell Life and death For me nothing matters You are the means and end The path and destination When you are near There is no death Even the shadow of death is far away Only love and life all the way. My past, present and future Oh, the queen of my life! The beats of my heart Be with me in the soul of my soul With your matchless grandeur Smiling all the you Fortune and misfortune Love and alienation Agony and ecstasy Pain and pleasure Whatever comes in the way Copyright@Smruti Ranjan Mohanty Review: The poem, "My World'' a nice piece under the ``A Look at Life'' series is the product of absolute contentment of devoted love, which is a rare experience in this chaotic social scenario. The Protagonist, who is a lover considers her love as every thing. She wants none if her lover's company entertain and amuse her. She washes her body and mind in the perineal stream of love. She least cares about the so called society of moral policing if his love fondles her. By the presence of his love, she creates an empire of her own and reign as a queen of the world of romance. She becomes a monarch enjoying the ecstasies of love, bliss and salvation. The poet says ``I feel intoxicated By his wine of love'' she is mesmerized by the illusory world created by his love. She wishes to merge in that dream fairy world and dislikes to shed it even in the last farewell. She makes the readers feel her astonishment as below; ``It is your smile That gets me going It is your presence That is so soothing You stand majestically Between Heaven and Hell Life and death To the poet, her lover is the means as well as the end. Also, the path and destination. His presence makes death die snd the only love and lif is seen everywhere.
