White THE WOMAN ACROSS THE STREET RECAP Robin’s glance fell on a woman across the street. He saw her holding a wine glass and a book through her window. She was dancing. But suddenly, she raised her hand as if resisting some action. Within seconds, her wine glass fell down, and she, too, fell like a lifeless leaf. Robin rushed to inform the watchman of the building and was shocked when the watchman said that a woman had been murdered around two months ago in that apartment. The investigation team had found a broken wine glass and a book near her body. The similarities in the watchman’s narration and what he saw made Robin rooted to the spot. When the watchman asked Robin the reason behind his approach, he stated that he felt someone needed help, hiding the reality he witnessed. He thought that it may create unnecessary confusion. The watchman advised him not to imagine things. The apartment is empty. Only a couple of hours before the investigation, they had routinely inspected the apartment. Taking a deep breath, Robin returned to his apartment. THE WOMAN ACROSS THE STREET – PART 2 "Noted, and thanks," Robin said before proceeding to his apartment. He refrained from mentioning what he saw, which might have created unnecessary ripples. "Oh my God," Robin sighed as he opened the door to his apartment. He sat on the sofa and reminisced about the past day as he whispered, "After arriving home at noon, I was exhausted, and the next moment, I found myself in his bed, drifting into a deep . Perhaps the security officer was correct in assuming that I was imagining things. The woman I saw across the street might just be a dream, given that I had crossed the street shortly after waking up, and did I really have my tea before leaving? Or was it also a dream?" He brainstormed all possibilities and pulled the curtain aside, only to see the apartment with closed windows and slid curtains and lights off with nothing visible inside. He chuckled, turned around and declared, "It was indeed a dream." He then took a deep sigh before closing the curtain. As he made his way towards the kitchen, he felt a prickling sensation under his foot, and his gaze landed on a broken tea cup. He felt the spilled-over tea on the floor and began to wonder how it fell and broke, and then he realized that after he woke up, he did have his tea. To confirm, he walked into the kitchen and found a tea strainer sieve with wet tea powder in the sink, which confirmed that the tea wasn't a dream and that he, in fact, had his tea, irrespective of whether he had left his apartment or not. Robin picked up a glass, filled it with water, and as he began to drink, he assumed, "Oh my God, if I had tea, then I surely might have tried to close the curtain, which normally I do as the sun sets. But why is the broken tea cup on the floor? Did it fall out of my hands? If yes, then how did the tea cup fall? What made me throw the tea cup down?" Again, all types of ifs and buts began to take shape in his mind as he tried to connect the dots. "Oh no! Robin yelled as he finally could figure out the answer to all his questions and rushed to slide open the curtain again. To be continued... ©Krishnan #mystery #suspense #microtale #ShortStory

The woman across the street ( PART 1) Around 7.00pm, Robin tried to slide the window curtain. His glance fell on a woman's silhouette behind a curtain of an apartment across the street. She seemed to be holding a wine glass in one hand and a book in the other, dancing to a tune. The curtain was wavering in the wind, and the window was open. In between, he could see inside the apartment as the curtain swayed up and down. Robin smiled and was about to close the curtains when he saw the woman suddenly raising her hand in a hostile manner, holding the wine glass as if resisting some action. This resulted in her wine glass falling down. Within minutes, he saw her fall down like a lifeless leaf, and the view sent shivers down his spine. Thinking she needed help, he immediately rushed across the street, into the opposite building and met the watchman. Robin was panting as he requested the watchman, "Please rush into the flat on the 10th floor, extreme left." Before he could complete it, the watchman interrupted, "Sir, it's been empty for over two months. A ballet dancer used to stay there, and one Saturday night, she was shot down and murdered. The investigation is still going on." Robin nearly jumped out of his skin when he heard what the building watchman had to say. "Oh no", he sighed and asked the watchman, "Did anyone get any clue near to her body?" "Nothing so far, other than a broken wine glass and a book," the watchman answered. Looking at Robin, he questioned, "Why did you instruct me to rush to that apartment?" "I thought, I saw someone calling for help," Robin replied. Looking at Robin, the watchman stressed, "Please don't imagine things." There's no one in that apartment. Around an hour ago, the officials investigated the area around the apartment. After closing it, they handed me the keys, and I cannot enter without an authorized permit. "Noted, and thanks," Robin said before proceeding to his apartment. He refrained from mentioning what he saw, which might have created unnecessary ripples. "Oh my God," Robin sighed as he opened the door to his apartment. - To be continued... ©Krishnan #Woman #suspense #microtale #short_Story #ShortStory #mystery

As evening settles soft and low, The sky, a canvas starts to show, Its palette rich with twilight's hue, A blend of purple, gold, and blue. The sun dips low, a fleeting glance, The day surrenders to night's dance, With shadows deep and whispers mild, The sky transforms, serene and wild. Stars emerge, a glistening seam, In dusk’s embrace, a twilight dream, The world below begins to fade, As night ascends, in starlight draped. The evening’s breath, a gentle sigh, Beneath the vast, expanding sky, In this transition, peace is found, As dusk and night both come around. As evening's curtain starts to fall, The sky receives a gentle call, From twilight’s brush, both soft and grand, A muted hue spreads o’er the land. The sun’s last kiss is faint and warm, A fleeting touch before the storm Of night invades with velvet grace, And shadows stretch, embrace the space. Clouds, like whispers, drift on high, In shades of rose and deepened sigh, The horizon blurs in dusky tones, Where day’s last light and starlight blend. The stars ignite, a scattered lace, That shimmers in the evening's face, The world below in quiet rests, As night unfolds its silken vest. In dusk’s embrace, the world finds peace, As day’s bright pulse begins to cease, And in the sky, where dark meets light, The evening glows, a tranquil sight. ©twisha ray Evening times #trnojo134 #thoughtdiaries #Life_experience

A ball bounces through life's busy street, Carefree and wild, its journey sweet. It rolls and spins, without a care, A symbol of joy, beyond compare. It's chased by children, laughing with glee, A simple pleasure, for you and me. It bounces high, it bounces low, A constant reminder, to let go. Through hills and valleys, it makes its way, A rolling reminder, of life's play. It's caught and thrown, in a never-ending spin, A dance with fate, as it twirls within. So let the ball, be a lesson to us all, To roll with life, and never take a fall. For in its bounces, we find our own, A reflection of life, forever sown ©twisha ray Fun times #MagicBall #trnojo55 #Balls
