-आमोद जायसवाल ©Amod Kumar Jaiswal #thought_of_the_day inspirational quotes life quotes in hindi

White "A Life story of Abdul Kalam Azad" Abdul Kalam Azad, a prominent Indian freedom fighter, scholar, and educator, was born on November 11, 1888, in Mecca, Saudi Arabia, as Muhammad Abdul Kalam Ghulam Muhiyuddin. His family moved to India when he was young, and he grew up in Kolkata (then Calcutta). Azad was deeply influenced by the nationalist movement in India from an early age. He joined the Indian independence struggle and became a prominent member of the Indian National Congress. His dedication to the cause of Indian independence was evident through his writings and speeches, which inspired many. Azad was also a key figure in the Khilafat Movement, which sought to protect the Ottoman Caliphate and was closely associated with Mahatma Gandhi's non-cooperation movement. Azad's contribution to India's educational landscape was significant. He was a strong advocate for education and played a crucial role in shaping India's educational policies after independence. As the first Minister of Education in independent India, he laid the foundation for the establishment of numerous institutions of higher learning, including the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) and the University Grants Commission (UGC). In 1958, Azad was awarded the Bharat Ratna, India's highest civilian honor, in recognition of his contributions to the nation. He continued to be a respected voice in Indian politics and education until his death on February 22, 1958.
