Pretension: The clock of past only gives me inexpressible happiness. Your pretension had united hour hand, minute hand and second hand to pilfer my time. I lost myself without understanding the intension behind your rosy face. Acquiring everything from me, you deserted, breaking my dreams. I repent now as things are beyond my control to repair. #pretension

Grousing for affection; Yet, not actually wanting it. Aye, I'm wishing for a love That I don't really know How to handle or believe. "Pretension" (c) Pinterest Photo. #pretension #diwa #yqbaba

Walking down the pathway, On my way to some other byway, I notice you right there-- Staring into space, Lost in some vacuous interim. Oblivious to derision, You look forlorn and aggrieved. I approach you, instinctively-- Wanting to reconnect; Mayhap, to ask you what's happening; Only to abruptly turn away. For, life brought us to this standstill Where previously knowing someone Doesn't automatically signify The right to presuppose anything. So, I continue on my way-- Assuming the same stoic disregard; Perhaps, pretending That I don't recognize you, Even when my heart screams Its utter dissent. Pretension: Let us protest the inner pretension. Let us not say daughter is equal to son. When we bring fake smiles upon birth of daughter, celebrating it for society not for our pride or ostentation. With the advent of son, inner celebration matches with the outer society. We impart education to girls, aiming to search for her qualified bridegrooms as if they are the white burdens of the family. Sons are encouraged to do higher study even if the standard doesn't permit. Yes, sons are considered to act for the bosom of family and daughters, the visible burden. If son is prodigal, parents hope for the return of prodigal son And if the girl is a prodigy, rarely she wins attention. Yes, let us protest the inner pretension And let us not say daughter is equal to son. #pretension,#nojotoenglish

There's a twinkle in your eye; tempting me to smile. I look away; doing my best, not to acknowledge your bidding. You stare at me; willing me to see; that you won't give up, so easily. I know that; yet, I do my best, not to succumb. For now. #twinkle #coy #pretension #succumb #yqbaba

sometimes, you love someone, from afar. you don't go near. you stop yourself, each time. you don't because it's scary. being rejected is awful; and so, you don't try, at all. you have the 'almost' chances --seeing them in hallways, riding the same train everyday. the same social circle, the same classes, the same village--so near and yet, so fearfully far. then, one chance encounter. fate helps you, smiles at you. you, finally, get to talk to them. but, you run away; coward that you are. pretending not to want a connection, trying to stay away. #afar #pretension #coward #shy #yqbaba

what was said, wasn't always what it was. sometimes, it only veiled what it really was. now, the heart that was real, was made un-real. pretensions may not have been pretensions; but did you care to ask? #pretension #questions #masking #veiled #yqbaba
