Walking down the pathway, On my way to some other byway, I notice you right there-- Staring into space, Lost in some vacuous interim. Oblivious to derision, You look forlorn and aggrieved. sometimes, you love someone, from afar. you don't go near. you stop yourself, each time. you don't because it's scary. being rejected is awful; and so, you don't try, at all. you have the 'almost' chances --seeing them in hallways, riding the same train everyday. the same social circle, the same classes, the same village--so near and yet, so fearfully far. then, one chance encounter. fate helps you, smiles at you. you, finally, get to talk to them. but, you run away; coward that you are. pretending not to want a connection, trying to stay away. #afar #pretension #coward #shy #yqbaba
