*The number of traditional Rak'at in Tahajjud prayer is seven at least and thirteen at the most. Abdullah Bin Abu Qais(R.A) reports,"I asked Ayesha (R.A) how many number of Rak'at,the Messenger of Allah used to perform in Tahajjud prayer?"She said ,'Sometimes,four supererogatory Rak'at and three Witr(total 7), sometimes six supererogatory Rak'at and three Witr(total 9),sometimes eight supererogatory Rak'at and three Witr (total 11), sometimes ten supererogatory Rak'at and three Witr (total 13).His midnight prayer comprised seven Rak'at at least and thirteen Rak'at at the most."(Abu Dawood) ++If anyone likes to add more supererogatory Rak'at to the number of traditional Rak'at,he can. #Tahajjud
