White A LOOK AT LIFE-116 BY-SMRUTI RANJAN MOHANTY THE RETURN JOURNEY My Father! I do not know How and why I came here? Probably it is thy will for which I am here But instead of watching your drama Like a silent none possessive, Unassuming spectator Became an actor, a part of the drama Considered myself to be the hero Around whom the world revolved I became a playwright Did my own screenplay Composed my own lyrics Sung my own songs Thought the world around to be exclusively mine. My Lord! I acted as if I was the doer I became the centre You left my hands, silently disappeared I became the prisoner of my own actions No way I could escape from My karmic debts and deposits I created that bondage for me Enjoyed and endured the fruits of my actions. My Father! Bondage I need no more In the journey of life This is my return journey Let the 'I' in me My body, mind, possessions Actions and fruits of actions be At your lotus feet Let my eyes see you only My ears listen to your divine melody My senses perceive nothing but you only With my tired limbs and mind Have to go miles till I reach Help me, my father! I can carry myself To the destination I know nothing, actions, fruits of actions Debts and deposits Knowledge and devotion Dualism, non-dualism and qualified non-dualism I know one thing only I have nothing\none with me Except You, my father I know you can not leave me in the mid-sea You will bring me safely ashore If my love is genuine Ensure my surrender, make it complete Ensure! my mind never moves away even for a fraction of a second from your lotus feet Be with me my father Heaven or hell, do not matter I know my father is with me forever Here and hereafter. "Everlasting Love" Far or near, you'll hear my call, My love for you transcends all. My thoughts with you always reside, You're the rhythm, for which I confide. Your path I'll follow, wherever it goes, Forever entwined, like a blooming rose. Love's ocean deep, in it we'll reside, Today and ever, side by side. Through laughter or tears, our bond won't sever, Our love grows stronger, now and forever. Two hearts entwined, a destiny sealed, In this life and beyond, forever revealed. ©Santosh Jangam #Poem The poem's message is that true love transcends distance and endures through time. Despite separation and challenges, love remains con

White MY MOTHER-10 When you look at me A thousand sorrows Dissolve in the ocean of bliss Thousands agony find salvation When you smile A thousand problems find solutions When you open your lips When you say I am with you my son Go ahead without fear I find nothing on my way It is your love all the way At your lotus feet Find my tears and smile their lone asylum In your maa! my whole life My childhood, youth and middle age My sorrow and happiness I and my life are all yours Tell me, my mother Who will take care of your life When you are no more? You were not for yourself You were for others Your kids and all those you loved For them, you stretched your life bit more For which you suffered My maa! who else can suffer for her kids Except for one's mother Maa! How beautiful was life When you and Bapa were here How dull and pale the world looks When I lost you both To have that bliss infinite One has to die and take birth once more To have you and my father I am prepared to die a hundred deaths And take a hundred births Endure sufferings innumerable To become your unworthy son again and again Smruti Ranjan Mohanty© ©Smruti Ranjan Mohanty #sad_shayari MY MOTHER-10 When you look at me A thousand sorrows Dissolve in the ocean of bliss Thousands agony find salvation When you

White SOMETHING I LOOK AT-113 BY-SMRUTI RANJAN MOHANTY A ROMANCE WITH DEATH I bow down to you, my death for we mortals, you are the reality, friend, philosopher and guide saviour, the most precious gift, my worthiest possession that gives me the feel that with others i can be at par with my love! people call you death an end to one's existence or a prelude to a new beginning for me, you are the elixir in you lie my salvation from worries and anxieties, unhappiness and miseries and a means to live my life with a hope that one day i will be there with others where i tried hard but failed to be you make life acceptable more bearable to live in make it look fascinating and beautiful without your graceful touch and voice of thunder life would have been difficult to live with the vast multitude of people living in an unequal world languishing in perpetual inequality, injustice, squalor and poverty, with no hope of having parity in this life. with nothing to look forward to, wounded ego, lost love, shattered dreams how difficult to live and let live endure life and its vagaries you are the only reality in a world of relativity for you, same are the men on the street and those who are at the height of glory, success and might i bow down before you the queen of justice no one can escape from you the only reality under your spell come each rich and poor, ugly and beautiful living with you, falling in love and romancing with you is the biggest romance one can look forward to blessed is he who understands you realises you while still alive how can one live life unless he understands how beautiful and gratifying death is? White SOMETHING I LOOK AT-169 BY-SMRUTI RANJAN MOHANTY I fall asleep and get up only to find me in abysmal slumber once more. I feel fed up with myself and things happening around only to find me deeply engrossed little later I lived and died enjoyed and endured, spent the whole of my time moving forward and going back without accelerating and understanding life, its relationship with cause, space and time. I spent my whole life without understanding its purpose., without realising that life is a conundrum. Life has been one step forward one step backward and I am where I was long back Everything around changed but I remained the same enjoying and enduring life without understanding its purpose and meaning. At times, I feel... a dry desert is pervading within me, at times , I see an ever green forest is growing within me... I feel confused .... try to search the fountain of bliss deep inside Life has been a meaningless endeavour in pursuit of nothing I returned back where I started long long a go accomplishing nothing in the process only to see the entire life consumed in a movement forward and backward from high to low, from darkness to light and light to darkness.... this movement is nothing but a riddle. White SOMETHING I LOOK AT-159 BY-SMRUTI RANJAN MOHANTY LET ME SILENTLY WITHER AWAY Before someone tells me it is time and I must quit, let me leave the centre stage making space for someone more fit. Before they stop talking, let me talk to myself, listen to my voice, make me my best friend, Let me learn to keep quiet. With no takers to what I say, let me value the beauty of silence and remain within myself Let me silently wither away I know am not of any use to anyone, don't have enough strength and will to carry on my shoulder someone else. Let me accept the reality Neither I can help nor accept, nor can I teach and advise or listen to someone's idiocy and high handedness Before the world leaves me where I have been, let me withdraw from all that I loved, endured and fancied more than my love and life. Let me not forget I am still alive and someone needs me. We are to live the last part of life with ease and dignity Let me be with my love who carried my smile and tears, love and frustration over the years without caring for her own She can not see me reduced to a nonentity, a man without dreams. Let me live till I am alive with passion and dignity If not for me For someone who loves me, for whom I am larger than life and relationship. A LOOK AT LIFE-149 BY-SMRUTI RANJAN MOHANTY Have your moments before you lose them. Understand the beauty of relationships before they fade and become memories. Feel what a mother is and acknowledge indebtedness to your father before you lose them forever. Value love, relationship, companionship before they leave you and you live an empty life in a lonely corridor. Think twice before spoiling a moment. Who knows the next you may not be having. Live life to the fullest before death snatches your life from you. Be with your blood and loved ones. Spend your quality time with them Do whatever possible but never let them silently languish and endure. Realise it. Feel the earth below and sky above before they become pages of history and you a beggar having the whole of your life to repent and brood over. Be true to yourself, to your conscience and conduct yourself in such a way you may not have to repent again and again. There lies the beauty and fulfilment of life and the window to peace and happiness. Life is beautiful. Don't spoil it. Ego, hatred, pride, anger, jealousy, selfishness only add to your miseries. By the time you understand it, you are in the mid-sea with no one near. Life gives you enough time to repent, but no second chance to rectify your mistakes and relive your moments once again. Whatever you have lost you have lost forever. Realise it before you let your moments go by only to repent till you die. I could not live my moments Hope you will. It binds one with the other In a thread of Love, jealousy, hatred and many more And keep one deeply engrossed In his pursuit of a better life here And hereafter Relationship is relative Even the sweetest of relationships Comes under stress For by its very nature Relationship is unstable and The capacity of the thread To bear is never unlimited It breaks when We expect too much out of it It breaks when Naked self-interest parade Up and down in the guise of virtue It breaks For we evaluate another And interpret a situation As per our own interest Which is the only permanent thing In this fragile world It breaks For we analyze situations not As they are For we evaluate one not As he is But as we see and define them As per our interests Naked and permanent The priorities of life Keep on changing So the relationships We cultivated and endured The sweetest of relationships We shared over the years Becomes an unnecessary liability And that is life We are to accept it copyright@smruti ranjan 19.4.2016 ©Smruti Ranjan Mohanty #bachpan Gratitude to mam Nadine Jessel, Steven Dawson, Heart and Soul Poetry, Admins and Board Of Judges for the honour "IN THE SPOTLIGH
