Crippled, I was. She'd give me piggy-back rides. Blind, I was. She'd say the world was never worth seeing. Deaf, I was. She'd make me speechless too. Dumb, I was. She'd hear my silence better. I would stammer. She'd say my words were worth the wait. I would blabber. She'd hear it out. I brought her shame. She gave me a second chance. I brought her pride. She lay grounded, while letting me fly. A kid, I was. And will be. A mother, she was. And will be. #NaPoWriMo To every special Child and Mother.
