Into the Excruciating Void Fibromyalgia pain It's a day of fog for my brain Unbearable aching, sharp shooting Curl into a ball hide from the world day People don't understand chronic pain It's mental & physical Points on my body make me scream in despair, Don't touch me it hurts What else will the day bring Ailments that accompany too I struggle and fight Giving all my might Exhausted Not forming a sentence in my mind Guilt consumes Too tired to function and move I look fine they say No idea what's tormenting me inside Undesirable pain & guilt as well as fog in my brain Depression lurks waiting to drag me usunder, not yet, please A daily battle to function Smile and be polite As few understand my plight I'll hang on always fighting for light I endure at great cost Withdraw from the world for a time Pain & Depression threaten to take me away I beg my body & mind please not today Behind smiling faces lurks pain & darkness, pray I'm a fibro warrior always Life in a day of fibro pain
