Home, for me, is a shoulder. A shoulder keeping me on it when I get tired, a shoulder showing the bones of old-age, gaining the fat of medicines. A shoulder being there, in case I get the time to shed some tears; mourn the loss of not having nothing but in fact, being nothing. A shoulder reminding me of all the load it's been carrying over the ages, to make me stronger for the fight I have at the door- the fight I have to face not by sitting on the shoulder, but keeping my oldies on mine. #metaphor #shoulder #family #home #parents #paidstory #dcpaid #yqbaba

He was 7 when he pointed at a pink balloon and came home with a blue one. At 13, his brother caught him staring at a pink dress at the mall and shouted "You're so gay". But his mother got furious and said, "Don't irritate him, my baby is perfectly normal". At 17, he thought to embrace his choices. Bad decision, if you ask me. He bought some plump heels, concealers and glittery eye-shadows. He thought he could be one of the queens he saw on screen. Little did he know that his heart wasn't ready to walk on the thorny paths for sitting on the throne. It took 2 weeks for the bullies to make the boy hang from his ceiling. The day after his funeral, his mother found a lily blooming at the backyard. Although it was beautiful, its pink petals kept screaming at her, "I'm perfectly normal, mother." What makes us feel 'at home'? Maybe that unpaid bill at home. Mid-20's in fact, way too early to just Netflix and chill at home.
