It was those days of no mobile and landlines being a luxury. My working hours would extend a little late into the night. As i had to change two buses to reach my house with a stretch of road being dark and desolate my mom would be terribly worried. She wouldn't be able to show her worries openly for fear of being scolded by my dad. She would often come out of the house and keep looking if i had reached the end of the road as told by my dad later. Who else but a mom can care so much ceaselessly day after day.
