That scorching summer, six months into our marriage, is forever etched in my mind. Scarcity of water in the lakes had compelled the authorities to curtail the water supply by 50%.Ours was an arranged marriage, hence physical intimacy was fleeting & awkward. This lack of touch was getting to me . The water situation got worse, we started receiving supply every alternate day. We were taking bucket baths those days, as showers consumed a lot of water. Since there were only two buckets left to last us through the day, I suggested we shower together to save water.
