#OpenPoetry Down the lane, there she was, Regretting everything- in and out, Dwelling in the days of old, Sinking in the cries too loud. Someone whose feelings were played with, Someone who'd been betrayed, Just when about to die, there he came, On whom, her trust she laid. Unknown to each other, A new departure to a new a journey, Excited for the dawn-to-darks to come, It was just their first day at brainery. To introduce himself, Sam talked about his love for automation, Present in the same chamber, Alas! She didn't receive any notification. When it was her turn, Lily described herself as an obsessed scribe; Somewhat enough to grab his attention- It gave birth to positive vibes. With variations in beliefs, With alterations in mother tongue, They had one trait in common- The thirst for wisdom! Cordiality commenced, dialing codes exchanged, Conversations unending- not so stale, When warned about the deepest of secrets- Both were victims of 'heartbreak in a fairytale'! Getting closer day by day, Investing endless hours over the phone, 'Curiosity'- it felt, Sam was now a part of Lily's poem. He confessed, She denied. He confessed, She had to abide. Spending time at the tram stop, It was the beginning of a new session. Recapitulating her past, Lily weeped, Sam was there to teach her a new lesson. With respect, he looked at her, And held her hand, And kissed her tentacles, Indeed, an acceptance so grand! Fighting o'er silly stuff, Covering miles to see the other half, Sam's broken English, While Lily played the proofreader's part.
