MOON AND MOAN -------------- The moon was faintly lighting Amidst the dark cloudy sky The owl was tired of sleeping And has opened its sleepy eyes Amid the midnight silence, A moan pricked the ears Of the moon, that trembled with fear. A glance was caught, They were some men in hoods The moan was of a girl, A habitant of the woods. Road became discoloured With precious tinges of her blood But the moon was all alone To address her distressing moan She cried, she moaned, she resisted The cries, the moans; the moon has witnessed The unbearable aches Made her moan even louder That throbbing sight Disturbed the moon much harder She tried her best To survive, till the sunrise But the moon was disturbed enough By the moans to forget, How it used to set. #moonsandmoans #bloodshed

Today under the moonlight I saw My emotions crawling away For numbness clasped my soul Pain didn't bludgeon me at all. I sat amid the silent night Ruminating about my slain love vividly recalling the scene of bloodshed. How the sword of destiny was unsheathed and was pierced through my love. How my love was holding the destiny's feet and was begging for the last chance. How callously destiny laughed at it seeing it begging. How my love was shouting for help. Every word still echoes in my ears. I still remember how helpless I stood being enchained by indifference. How hard I tried to get rid of those chains and to help my love. But alas! till the time I rescued myself My love had kissed the heaven. I stood there in guilt. Tears of blame embellished me. For years that scene of bloodshed Tore me apart. Everytime it crawled back to my mind. I couldn't even move at all. But today when it again came to visit my thoughts I could feel nothing at all.
