It's 1 am. And I'm thinking about the conversations of the previous day. My brother compares his salary to his peers, some of whom he considers friends. He is going to leave the job, in next 6 months, he has made up his mind. I don't try to change it but give him perspective. When I started earning, I never compared my salary to my friends. It's the skill set that matters, I insist. Husband comments in the background - I always compete for more bonus or higher incentive. How is that different? I get angry, we get in a meaningless fight.
