Love consumes reason
 Lovers take no recourse
Sun borrows the flower
moon carries the discourse

Pining hearts sublime
In early morn longing
And meanings loose vantage
In her shy bosom's rising

Night....a wine dark
parked at the doorsteps
of wet wanton waves
crashing on our territorial feet.
Our footsteps,
claim this errie silence
under the billhook moon,
mumbling the rosary,
cataloging the unsaid,
alluding to that flickering lantern
in the distant shack.
It is hanging down
from our voracious desires
waxing with the lunar shift.
The sacrosanct lighthouse,
peering down at us,
is the lone testimony
to the brevity of this moment,
this moment when
the ephemeral wind
that remained our veil
is slowly sneaking out,
from between our breath,
and the moon kissed waves
are still
caressing our
debaucherous feet.

A fitful breeze from the yonder
swayed the quick tempered moon,
her crescent ruddy suitor.
He rises and falls with her
indifferent pursuit.
Wages of her incoherent love
formed fleetingly fallible
layers of smoking clouds.
 grass blades
under her wanting sole,
They promised
an incessant rain tonight.
Street light outside,
was on a dog leash,
arbitrarily chained to the mole
on her lower back.
A lone autumn tree rose up
from its cauldron roots,
shedding it's last ochre foliage.
Few warm bloodedrushed up the blood
to her cold freckled cheeks.
Robust wind murmured a lullaby,
wrapped up in a warm
comforting blanket,
she heard the nightjar's call.
An urban jigsaw assembled
in a whole,
and her wispy feverish suitor
kissed her good night.

'You will search for me in another person, I promise'

Fallen mist
dripping down the earthen hues
of a failed evening.
A lonely frigid coffee mug
courting your laughter
trapped in the yesterday,
little ochre
and a little pale
whiff of your breath.
I sit by it.
You called?
I did look around,
wistful..
I smiled,
time hasn't washed off
your musked linen,
and I still have it
neatly folded
and warmly kept with
the broken coffee mug. ~ Deepti An evening!
