क्या लिखूं पापा आपकी तारीफ़ में,
अल्फाज़ भी कम पड़ जाएँगे आपकी तारीफ़ में,
अपनी पूरी उम्र लगा दी मेरे सपने पूरे करने में,
कि कहीं ख़ुद के ही सपने पिछे छोड़ दिए आपने,
ख़ुद ना सोते थे यह जानके कि मुझे बुखार है,
पूरी रात निकाल दी आपने मुझे सहलाते-सहलाते,
लड़े आप इस जहाँ से मेरे लिए,
कि कही मुझे छोटी सी भी खारोच ना लगे,
कंधे पे लेके घूमे मुझे, उन बचपन की यादों में,
आज भी वो दिन याद आता है,
जब लड़ता भी था सिर्फ़ आपकी बाइक पे घूमने के लिए,
मेरी हर छोटी सी छोटी ख्वाहिश का हिसाब रखा,
ख़ुद की परवाह ना कर मेरी ख्वाहिश को पूरा किया,
पापा क्या लिखूं आपके बारे में...
डाट भी देते हो गलती करने पर,
और रूटने पे अगले ही पल मनाने भी आ जाते हो,
पापा.... आपकी ख़ुशी भी है तो मेरी मुस्कुराहट से,
मै क्या उदास हु आप भी उदास हो जाते हो,
माँ करती है मेरी फिकर,
पापा आप हो तो मुझे किस बात का डर,
पापा....मैं कहीं गिर भी जाऊ तो संभाल लेते हो मुझे,
मेरी हिम्मत भी तो आप ही बनते हो,
मुश्किलों में साया बन चलते आप ही तो हो मेरे संग,
जीवन जीना ही तो आपने सिखाया मुझे,
अपने अस्थित्व से पहचान दिलाई मुझे,
पापा... माँ तो कह देती है दिल की बात,
पर गमो को छिपाना तो सिखाया आपने मुझे....
