Thanks and gratitude to Prof Dr Rajendra Padhi and Professor Mohan Patnaik, eminent poets and literary critics for their wonderful words of appreciation Prof Rajendra Padhi You have the gift of a genuine poet, the simplicity of expression is the vehicle to carry genuine and true feelings which you are bestowed with. The introspective nature of writing speaks a look at life and into its myriad mysteries. The diction is simple and the look at life is always in its most natural perception. To write poetry with out obscure images and phraseology is the art of a true poet. You are one and Alby Raymond Parackal is another who are very true in their words and of my great adoration. The use of images with proper analogy , the proper sequencing of lines, the harmony between feelings and words is the beauty of your poem. Prof Mohan Patnaik You are a poet with a difference. Your simplicity of diction, wonderful exposition of thought, spontaneity of feelings and the uploading of beautiful images help your poems make a soft landing in the mind of your readers. As in others here too you have attempted a subject that others tend to ignore for controversy. Birth is a celebration whereas Death is a validication. You have chosen to celebrate Death for being a panacea for living ills and affliction. You have seen what lies beyond death. It may be a means to an end;but never an end in itself. It is here unlike other poets, you sound to be different. For you Death seems to be a connective link to another life. Death stands in between the life spent and a life awaiting . You have dealt with all sufferings a man in life undergoes and how all these make life miserable and suffocating. In discussing life of all its pangs and frailties you prepare man to face death with a touch of indifference. The aching fear, and endless turmoils within the mind while living ends with death. You seem to have gone a step forward consoling the man in death that his turmoils and turbulences only ended, but not his life. Death is not a terminator but a guide with a human face. Man is like a passenger who boards a train here and gets down somewhere to board another to reach his destination. Death as such is like a connective train that helps man to undertake the other journey stretching heavenward. Great presentation sir A LOOK AT LIFE-24 BY-SMRUTI RANJAN MOHANTY A look at life is incomplete Without a look at death A peep into its mystery It's science Language and chemistry No doubt Life is beautiful But death is still more beautiful More enchanting more bewitching For it makes life full and Gives once more a chance To look at life and go ahead In the path of eternity If life is a feast Death is sheer poetry An artist's dream Who makes an art of life If life is a sojourn Death is a station Where one gets down Look at himself and Prepares for the journey Anew and afresh To have a go at the destination Ultimate and inevitable The beauty of life Lies in a beautiful death Which puts an end To those toiling days Agonising nights The predicaments and contradictions The unfulfilled desires The negative emotions Acquisitive instincts Unrealised dreams and broken hearts Which hunt one all along And death makes the beast of burden A man once again But One has to prepare for it The way one plans and prepares To live a life The art of dying is more difficult Then the craft of living Living requires involvement Engrossment and a deep sense of attachment While dyeing needs nothing Only one has to look back And analyse the life He has lived The relationship He shared over the years One has to dive deep into life To understand The futility and fragility Of human relationship And its obvious limitations Bound by Time-space and causation A look into life Unbiased and unprejudiced Will show the way And put an end to all cravings And will prepare the mind and body To embrace the beauty of life With Ease And a smile on lips copyright@smruti ranjan November 2015 ©Smruti Ranjan mohanty #Bhaidooj Thanks and gratitude to Prof Dr Rajendra Padhi and Professor Mohan Patnaik, eminent poets and literary critics for their wonderfu

Here is the critical appreciation of my poem"A LOOK AT LIFE-21" by non-other than the eminent poet and internationally acclaimed literary critic Prof Cijo Joseph Channel. Thanks and gratitude sir for your brilliant words of appreciation Dear Smruti Ranjaniji, Your poem titled"A Look At Life-21" is a great exposition regarding the manifold interpretations of what it is meant to be independent. Independence is an internal mindset if we are free internally, everything comes around bit by bit and piece by piece. It is to be a way of life. To be in an independent state of affairs would mean love towards one another and respect for the dignities of others. Freedom does mean that we need to give importance to the freedom of others, it also does mean adherence to justice,fair-play and equality. Freedom is a positive attitude which generates positive vibes in the society. Freedom is all about a mentality to share and care for each other. Lack of fear is the first sign of freedom. Real freedom transcends above boundaries, borders, barriers, barricades, controls and bridles. Freedom is a concept that enlightens and encourages one and all. Freedom is all about the ability to absorb the manifold aspects of life without fear and favour and also without any bias or discrimination. When freedom attains these above-mentioned characteristics, then it becomes really a heaven of freedom indeed envisaged by the great poet of India, Tagore.Kudos to you for composing such a poem of exquisite nature.
