*Durood is a way of attaining Allah's forgiveness and salvation from all sorrows, calamities and distress. Ubaaye Bin Ka'ab(R.A)says,I asked the Messenger of Allah,"Oh Allah's apostle,I send lot of Durood on you.How much time should I spend on Durood during my supplication? The Messenger of Allah replied,"As much as you want"I asked if one fourth of the time is good,he said,"As much as you want,but if you do more it is better for you."I Asked should I spend half the time, he said,"As much as you want,but if you do more it is better for you."I asked should I spend two third of the time,he said,"As much as you want,but if you do more it is better for you."I asked should I dedicate the whole time of my supplication for Salaat on you.The Messenger of Allah said,"This will be enough for all your sorrows and destitution and will be a basis for forgiveness of all your sins."(Tirmidhi) #durood

*On Friday plenty of Durood should be sent on the Messenger of Allah. Aws Bin Aous(R.A) says that the Messenger of Allah said,"Of all the days Friday is best .On this day Adam(A.S) was given life,on this day his soul was taken back,on this day the trumpet will be blown,on this day every one will be ordered to get back to life.Therefore,on this day send Salaat Aln Nabi on me as much as possible as your Salaat Aln Nabi is presented to me."Companions asked,"O Messenger of Allah!After your death your bones will be decomposed,or they said like this,your blessed body will be eaten by earth then how will our Salaat be presented to you?"The Messenger of Allah replied,"Allah has forbidden earth from consuming the body of the Prophets.(Abu Dawood) #Durood

*The Messenger of Allah cursed the person who does not send Salaam on hearing the name of Prophet Muhammad (P.B.U.H). Ka'ab Bin Ujra(R.A) says that one day the Messenger of Allah ordered to bring pulpit,when we brought he climbed the first step and said,"Ameen",then he climbed the second step and said,"Ameen"then he climbed the third step and said,"Ameen".After finishing the sermon when he stepped down from the pulpit,the companions asked,"Today we heard from you something which we never heard before."The Messenger of Allah said,"Jibreel (A.S) came and said,"That person is disgraced who got the month of Ramadan but did not ask Allah for forgiveness.I said,"Ameen".When I climbed the second step, then Jibreel (A.S) said,"That person is disgraced who hears the Messenger of Allah's name and does not send Salaat Aln Nabi,I replied"Ameen".When I climbed the third step then Jibreel (A.S)said,"That person is disgraced whose parents reached old age and he did not earn paradise by serving both of them or any one of them."I replied with ,"Ameen"(Hakim) #durood
