"Dragged out from the mouth of Death" It was on 5th of September me and my two friends planned to go on a trip for two days. So after a long discussion we 3 agreed on our final plan and choose a destination. After all we didn't choose a far destination,it was near by our town.The destination which we choose was a famous river named Relli which lies inside our town Kalimpong.As we were going to stay there for two days so we collected all the stuffs which will be needed for us till two days.Though the destination was not so far from our home, hardly it will take 3-4 hours to reach our destination.So we decided to move at 7p.m in the evening.After a long way of walking finally we reached near a jungle,our journey was not ended yet.Because now we need to march through a dense forest and the tail part of that forest there lies a river which was our destination.We often used to visit that river during weekends so we were habituate about that place.But something strange happened this time,that we were full confidence about the way towards the river which hardly takes half an hour to reach.But we lost our way and wandered inside that forest more than 3 hours,but we didn't loose our hope so we kept on searching a way towards the river because we were so much excited to experience this two days trip throughout our life and finally by the grace of God one of my friend found the way towards river.Actully it was quite dark and because of darkness we lost our way.But thanks to God he showed us a way and finally we reached our destination. Now after reaching we hurriedly started collecting woods so that we should lit a fire and cook some food for we all were starving from hunger and because of long journey we were tired too.So after collecting woods we cooked some meal,we ate and decided not to sleep as morning was about to fall so we kept on singing and dancing till morning.As a brand new day started we were so much excited which i can't express through words that how happy we were that time.So as morning fall once again we collected woods and prepared our lunch,we ate and took a nap for a while coz we were not slept whole night.After taking a nap we decided to check river so that we may go for a swim afterwards.While we were serching for a suitable place for swimming at one place we found a huge rock covered by waves and below that rock was a huge depth of water, by seeing it one of my friend who was a good swimmer told us let's swim here.So he went to check the depth of water and coming out he told us that we can't swim here, it has a huge depth of water.Actully he said that for me coz he knows that i don't know how to swim and if we swim there my life will be in risk.So he said we can't take a risk coz Rajen don't know how to swim so let's search somewhere else.So we moved from that place and little bit above from there we found a place where there was not much depth.Finally we were so happy that hurriedly we took out our clothes and start swimming.I don't know whether it was a fortune or misfortune day for us coz within a minutes of swimming our happiness turned into pain and sorrow.Because the force of water dragged me towards the river by which i started floating.My both friends tried to hold me but i kept on floating, after some tries they give up on me so they started shouting and crying and saying "what have you done Rajen"please Rajen try to save yourself,you can do it". It's a last sentence which i was able to hear from them.Now i also loose my hope of being alive as i mentioned before that i can't swim.So i was praying to God saying i was about to die but please help my friends out of this trouble.As i was floating i saw that rock and the waves upon it that time i found myself half dead because below that rock was a huge depth of water.Finally waves threw me inside that depth of water and i started drowning.As i started drowning i stretched out my hands and pray to God saying "i am coming to you my Lord" suddenly my hand feel some curved rocks as i was drowning.Immediately i hold a grip on that curved rocks and lift myself up.As i came out of water i was unable to believe that i was alive.There were some scratches upon my body but not a deep one.Hurriedly i stood up and went to the place where my friends was.As i reached there i saw both of my friends were hugging each other and crying and lamenting just for me.I went near to them and called them but when they saw me they felt that it was not be but my spirit appeared before them.Both of them got scared and said it's a ghost but i slapped one of them and said my friend im still alive.Both of them didn't believed but once they touched me and saw blood on my body that time they hold me hugged me and start crying.Afterwards we packed all our stuffs and decided not to stay so we came back home...From that day onwards till now we had never visited that place...Finally i was blessed with one more new life.. ©Rajen Dahal Based on true story #meltingdown
