We met for the first time and then we meet again and again. We go to our workplace everyday in the same metro. Everyday we see each other. You have your bag with you,spectacles on your eyes,a book in hand which you pretend to read but you secretly look at me,always wear formals. On the other hand,I wear salwar kameez,unable to tame my front hair,bag and headphones,I look like clumsy. I know you watch me till the metro is full of crowd. You always stand in front of the link of two coaches and I stand wherever I want to. You always find me busy either setting my things or taming my hair........... To be continued......... I clearly remember the day. It was raining cats and dogs since night. I thought to skip office that day. But I got a call from office and had to go and I got wet partially when I took my metro. I was shivering because of the air conditioner of the train,almost forgot about the man. When I noticed him,I saw that he was also drenched and that day he clearly looked at me. Among all these,we reached our station and while getting out of the train,I fell on the floor with all my bag,headphone,umbrella.What an embarrassment and at the top of this,while getting up,I saw the man smiled and walked away towards the exit. At first,he hesitated and his silence was wierd. I asked him,"Have I asked you something difficult?" At this,he looked at me and a strange feeling filled my stomach. I saw him somewhere before. But where? I cant remember. He replied, "Actually that day,you fell on the platform and then it seemed like you are angry,I asked you several times,are you okay or not but you stared at a random person and seemed you were angry." It was the most difficult puzzle to me. I cursed myself for my "I dont notice anything" skill. I was confused too. I told him,"You were there? Sorry. I didnot notice you."He smiled at this and told,"Yah,I know that. You didnot notice me at Darjeeling too." After listening this,I discovered where I had seen him and again I plunged into my memories and I at once recognised Sahil. He was about to leave and I called him,"Are you Sahil?" That day at office I continued to think about the whole incident and more I thought,more I got angry. How rude he was. While others wanted to know whether I was hurt or not,he smiled? Next day,I could not go to office due to drench in rain,I got cold and it turned into a fever. For the next seven days,I had to take bed rest as per doctor's advice. I got so many calls from office colleagues and they asked about how I was. Though I never notice anything as I always get busy in my own thoughts as I am a certified overthinker but that day I noticed an unknown number in my whatsapp and when I opened the message,it read, "Are you angry?"....... I texted back immediately - who is this? The message was not delivered. I did not give much attention to that. After seven days,I found myself better than before and got ready for office. A thought suddenly knocked at my brain when I suspected the message was from the man on metro as soon as I caught him staring at me. Anger grasped me and I looked at him directly to make him understand that I notice him. At this,he got uncomfortable and I checked my phone,the message got delivered that day after ten minutes which I did not notice as usual. At office that day,many of my colleagues asked me about my well being but there was a man whom I never seen before,came and asked me the same. Then only,I came to know,he joined office one month prior and new to the city as he came from Darjeeling and he confirmed,he sent me the message.
