I gather speed,I am on the run , The lane winds about with ghostly turns , Air is redolent with fresh breezy waves. But I have no time to relish . The swinging branches laugh in glee As they ask ," come dance with me" . But I have no time to see. The vapoury stillness intoxicates my spirit, I long for some respite in its aura And freely breathe. But the yonder beckons me I need to hasten my speed. Therein lies my finish line I need to reach. The blossoms drenched in rain Emanates a blush I catch a a glimpse And again pick up speed . Theres so much work I need to finish I have no time to spare to fulfill my heart's yearning. Responsibility knocks and reminds me Everytime I stop , At times I feel ,I can't carry on. This was all yesterday , Today I reminisce , How I wish I could run my fingers through the velvety blossoms And satisy my heart's longing.
