Quaid-e-Azam once said “I have got base-coins in my pocket”. Those coins caused the downfall of Jinnah’s Pakistan. After the creation of Pakistan, it was their duty to assist him & Pakistan in getting rid of the dire issues that were faced by the weak country. Those coins couldn't do so. Instead they quarrelled with each other for power or whatever, didn't do much to make the constitution/legislature strong enough which could secure it from dictators' interventions. Quaid is believed to have said to Miss Fatima Jinnah after a meeting with Liaquat Ali: “You know why Liaquat Ali Khan visited? He wants to know how serious my illness is and how long will I last”. On the other hand, Mr. Nehru in the neighborhood took all measures to confine the non-democratic hands to their limits; he introduced reforms in so that the imperial legacy could be wiped out. Obviously he paid the price politically but for long-term, he made sure his country was in a position to follow a better path. Now coming back to what's happening today in Pakistan. Imran Khan, who enjoys public popularity, has shown guts & is expected to sweep the elections is being forced to bow before the non-democratic & colonial power that has been ruling or controlling the state particularly since 1958 & generally since 1947. He has decided to follow his principles this time & not to make a deal or not to give them concessions atleast before the elections. They have gone mad at him. He was abducted by military forces on 9th May, 2023 illegally & then their plan was unleashed. Now they're making him pay the price for the crimes that he or Pakistani people haven't committed. They are trying to break his resolve by forcing his members to leave the party & to give statements against him & his cause. Will this prove fruitful? No it won't. This show of force is only exposing ‘their’ true colours to those who didn't know earlier or those who were keeping quiet for the sake of country's wellbeing or those who were befooled by hiding wrongdoings of generals behind martyrs’ blood. History tells us that this kind of situation gives rise to revolution in mindsets. They won't be able to win the war of minds. As far as the party members are concerned, we should let them go. If they can't bear the brunt of this reaction coming from usurpers, how will they be able to assist Imran Khan in reforming this system? We've already seen many people who were with IK since long & used to make fiery speeches but when he tried to stick to principles or law, they ran away & sought refuge in defaming him or siding with his opponents. Our recent past has proved that it only gave more popularity & acceptance to IK’s movement. Some examples out of so many were Javed Hashmi, Jahangir Tareen, Ayesha Gulalai, Reham Khan, Aleem Khan. Didn't we see their downfall? Didn't we see IK’s rise? اُن کی فنا تھا میرا اُبھرتا ہوا وجود میں اس لئے بھی سب کے نشانے پہ آ گیا ہم کو مِٹانے والے کبھی دیکھ آئینہ تُو خود تباہیوں کے دہانے پہ آ گیا Now when people have stood up against the real enemy of Pakistan that had disguised itself as Pak’s saviour, the mafia has tried to use old tactics to control it. Have you ever seen IK directly attacking the institutions? He always has said that it is a faction that has crippled the country by hijacking the institutions & detracting them from the path they're a supposed to follow. People know it very well. If Khan stands alone, and all these people who got fame because of him leave, can't he bring more new faces? Yes he can. We, the youth, are ready to play our part in our capacities. Those base-coins of Imran Khan's pocket who are leaving, are leaving for good. They are not strong or wise enough to lead our country to long awaited glory. Many similar people held Imran Khan back in his previous span of govt, when he was having a weak govt, he stood strong even in the presence of such wrong numbers. Won't he stand tall without them? Even if he loses this ‘battle’ in battlefield without fleeing, even if he loses his life as martyr, do you think the idea or ideology will die? He has already won the war of narratives. ‘They’ are just licking their wounds & kicking these methods in frustration. Pakistan is bound to rise out of this swap, today or tomorrow or the day after tomorrow; victory is ours. This is the thought that gives me contentment and the courage to write it out; there is something unknown, that is forcing all this to happen; belief is the key.
