सुनो दुष्ट ... दिल्ली बहुत खूबसूरत है, वो डीटीसी की बस, हालांकि मुझे बस मे डर लगता है पर ज़ब सफर मे कोइ साथ हों तो डर बट जाता है दो लोगों में, पर तुम्हारी एक आदत बहुत बुरी लगती है, यूँ सफर में किताबें न पढ़ा करो ओर वो भी हिटलर की, खुद कम खड़ूस हों क्या तुम? हर शहर की अपनी एक कहानी होती है न सफर में किताब पढ़ के उस कहानी को गवाया न करो| उस दिन ज़ब तुमने मेरे कंधे पर अपना हाथ रखा थाऔर तुम मुझसे किसी जवाब की उम्मीद लगाए एक हाथ में किताब को पकड़े रखे थे बदले मे मैंने भी अपना सर तुम्हारे कंधे पर रख लिया था, वो जवाब था मेरा पर तुम कहा समझ पाए |हर जवाब को लफ्जो की जरूरत नहीं होती |फिर मैंने झट से अपनी उंगलियों को मोड़ के "आलतू जलालतु आई बला कु टालतु " जपना शुरू कर दिया था | क्योंकि मैं नहीं देना चाहती थी तुम्हे कोइ जवाब तुम्हारे सवालों का,हर प्रेम मुझे मृगतृष्णा लगता है जो करीब जाते ही अदृश्य हों जाता है |पर मैं नहीं रोक पायी खुद को तुमसे प्रेम करने से| मैंने रेलगाड़ी का suffer तो बहुत बार देखा था, पर मेट्रो का सफर तुम्हारे साथ ही शुरू हुआ,वहाँ बैठ कर घंटो बातें करना बिना एक दूसरे के फोन को हाथ लगाए और तुमने भी अपनी हिटलर वाली किताब को साइड में रख दिया था. तुम्हारी नाक थोड़ी लम्बी है तभी इतने खड़ूस हों तुम, एक तिल है तुम्हारी नाक पर जिस पर बार बार मेरा ध्यान जा रहा था |बात करते करते तुम्हारा मेरा हाथ पकड़ लेना मानो जैसे तुमने थाम लिया हों मेरा हाथ उम्र भर के लिए | मै चाहती तो हाथ छुड़ा सकती थी तुमसे अपना... पर वो जवाब था के मै चाहती हुँ यूँ ही हाथ थामे हुए तुम छोड़ आओ मुझे उम्र के आखिरी पड़ाव तक |पर तुम कहा समझ पाए तुम्हे चाहिए था जवाब मेरे लफ्जों से | तुम अचानक गाने लगे "लग जा गले के फिर ये हसीं रात हों न हों शायद फिर इस जन्म में मुलाक़ात हों न हों "|तुम्हारी आंखे मांग रही थीे इजाजत मुझसे, मुझे गले लगाने की |पर मैंने नहीं दिया था कोइ जवाब |तुम्हे नहीं मांगनी चाइये थी मुझसे इजाजत लगा लेना चाहिए था मुझे गले से बिना इजाजत के पर तुम ठहरे संस्कारी |मैं खुद महसूस करना चाहती थी तुम्हारी धड़कनो का तेज हों जाना पर तुम्हे हर जवाब लफ्जों से ही चाहिए था| एक खामोश लम्हा जिसमे जी लेती मैं अपनी पूरी जिंदगी उसे गवा दिया मैंने अपनी खामोशी से "अब शायद इस जन्म में मुलाक़ात हों न हों " A life in Metro

Sometimes I imagine my life as a book and I; the protagonist. Many things have happened over the years, but only some are worth mentioning. There are some incidents capable of making you laugh to the floor, some that'll make you mock me and my nonsensicality,some capable of giving good life lessons and some that'll give you a heartache. I wonder how many will choose to read this book or not. Will it be capable enough to make it to the bestsellers list?, I wondered. #Life in a book#
