White When I feel tired, I drink a glass of water, close my eyes, and lie down, thinking that my head is on my mother's lap. This used to be my go-to remedy whenever I got worn out during childhood days. Within around five to ten minutes, I get refreshed again, and I say, "Thanks, Amma, I love you," before bouncing back. Riding in the car
From here to there
It isn't very far, but
For him is rare

Roll down the window
Let the wind blow
Such a nice breeze
On him it flows

Nothing is the same
Since he was a kid
The scenery changed
And also he did

The roads are different
Some now are new
Buildings erected
Older ones now are few

His childhood friends
Now just a thought
But he never did forget
What each of them taught

Secret places to hide
To just get away
Talking for hours
Wasting away the day

To have those days back
And to not have worries
To again see his friends
Of course he would hurry

All of his memories
Of growing up with them
They will never fade
Each one is like a gem

गद्दारों के शहर में दिल की बात कहे भी तो, किससे कहे, यहां सब गद्दार हैं। चेहरे पर मुस्कान, दिल में खंजर, हर कोई छल-कपट का साकार है। बातों में मलहम, हाथों में नमक, दिखावटी अपनापन हर ओर है। दर्द पूछते हैं, सहला के, फिर घावों को चीरने का जोर है। यहां सच की आवाज़ दबा दी जाती, झूठ के सिक्के खनकते हैं। अपनों के बीच भी परायापन, दिलों में फासले पलते हैं। तो किससे कहें ये दिल की बात, कौन सुनेगा हमारी पुकार? इस अंधेरे में ढूंढ़ रहे रोशनी, जहां हर रिश्ता एक व्यापार। पर दिल है कि उम्मीद नहीं छोड़ता, शायद कहीं कोई अपना भी हो। जो मलहम भी लगाए, सहलाए, और नमक के घावों से बचाए। ©Writer Mamta Ambedkar #Childhood
