Always a recluse, shy and unassuming guy, it was not easy for me to hang around with many. Yet Asif seemed to be the perfect friend for me. Always there with me he was also as bashful as me and we found each other's company comfortable and comforting. His father the Chief Postmaster General and the GPO was just opposite our school, so he would always come during recess with his tiffin box and used to give Asif some rupees to use in the canteen. I was always with him yet never used to have anything as my ego and pride and dignity prevented me. Asif like a good friend would not go to the canteen too if I was not going. When I entered my class I saw a very cute girl with a ponytail sitting on the first chair of the third row, I went up to her and asked to sit next to her. She agreed, I asked what is your name, she said, "my name is Shakun." At that time Mahabharata used to come on TV, I teased her and asked her, then you are ‘Shakuni mama,’ then she said that you too ‘Panchhi’ keep flying here and there, but after a quiet fight, slowly we became best friends forever.
