You ask me how to write a poem, Tell me what you mean by one, Do you mean a Sonnet or a Couplet, Free verse or a Cinquain, Haiku or a Ballad, Narrative or an Epic perhaps, Acrostic, Limerick or Simple Rhyme, What is it that you mean by a poem? I don't classify it for your comfort, I write what I deem fit, I myself just go with the flow, And my dreams and aspirations My knowledge and my presentation, My wants and my warnings All I say in whatever way Just jot down what I think or dream Or else rules only I would be following And I am a non conformist.
