Summer time, a sultry afternoon where even the leaves don't nod their head in approval of the glaring sun. I sit still on my favourite window seat, legs dangling, eyes searching, anxiously looking for a human soul below. The leafy shadows mock me and I smile at my foolishly lost gaze and my guileless pout, in sync. I drink in the pathetic taste of the air and find my senses perking up to the noiseless clamor. I twist my fingers, lazily as I watch the Kingfisher fly away in its regal glory, towards some reality. A distant summer reality.
