The tired sun was about to set in a concrete jungle but remain hanged on the top of a telecom tower for few hours. The same sun was setting in the turfs of pine at a valley far away from house of mine. A sea was witnessing the same event where the same sun was melting in its hot waters. Three things you don't know about me, Number one, for all my confidence and bravery, I find this life very very scary, It is too easy to fall, too easy to slip, Too easy to give in to the temptations, Or get seduced by the delectable whisperings. Number two, I love my nest, And don't think I'll ever take the flight, For I have convinced myself that I don't need, To travel to new nations, or fly to new heights, As much as the castles allure me, By my kin's side I will succeed. Number three, all the criticism in my poetry, Or at least most of it, Shall I say almost all of it, Is aimed at my own self For which poet succeeded without turning the crtic's eye within. The world has ended, yet I stand stranded, Amongst the bursting stars, broken earth and the sun's betrayal, Watch on as the self proclaimed magnificence of humans crumble, Perhaps, that's what they meant when they said, Dust thou art, and to dust thou shall return. But as the grandiose of the human race, Mixes with the mud, the ground, the land, And drowns amongst the seas and oceans, While their skin melts off like ice on poles. I wonder, do they wonder or perhaps, Even think of it in passing rather than contemplate, How things would have been different, Only if, if only, they had taken time to be humane, Instead of some odd selfish monstrosity they embraced.
