MUD Paddling hurriedly past ditches and drain holes a 10 year old vendor threw the newspaper across the yard on the house porch. He took a breath on the footpath as his day was done. His cycle rested on it's side stand. He looked into the house to see a newer model of the same bike resting in shade, better gripping fat tires, stronger suspension, it oozed style. A car was backing on the pathway. If only he had that newer model maybe his shirt won't get mud droplets sprayed all over it's back. He only had two pairs, one for school and one for work. A lady almost tripped over the bundle as she rushed to hand over the tiffin to her son on the backseat. The car rushed out the gates spilling sludge on to the footpath. The kid stunned, muddy and full of cuss words, walked towards the handpump. Better get home to get ready for school.
