ज़िदगी तू अब हमें,गिरकर फिर सम्हलने दे खिलौना ना भी दे तो सही,दिल में हसरतें तो मचलने दे सुनते रहे हम वो उम्र भर,जो तुमने कभी कहा नहीं, बहुत दूर हम निकल गए,दिल मगर भरा नहीं बेशक कमियां हममें बहुत हैं,ग़ौर ख़ूबियों पर कभी किया नहीं, ढूंढ़ते रहे हम अपना अक्स वहां,जहां दिया कभी जला नहीं शहर बहुत बदल लिये,बदल गए हालात भी, भागता परछाई के पीछे मैं रहा,वक्त कभी रूका नहीं दुनिया ने पुराने दर्द का,इलाज कुछ यूं किया ज़ख्म पुराना भर गया,निशान नया मिल गया कह रही है अब ज़िंदगी,ख़ुद को जरा सम्हाल लो तू जवाब ना भी दे तो सही,हमें सवाल तो बदलने दे...
