The woods are lovely, dark and deep, And here is where my feet I keep. The city blinds my sight, and dusts my dreams away, The woods are lovely, dark and deep, And here is where I stay. I rest my head on the windowsill, wrapped in a pink Pashmina shawl, I comfort my restless soul With a song of the soft snowfall. I don't want promises, I don't want to go, I wish I found this peace a long long time ago. The woods are lovely, dark and deep, And here is where my feet I keep, For I've to keep myself from falling in a bottomless pit, and end the tiring wars, I've got to live the one life I have; I've got to fill cookie jars.
