O Sunflower, this day, you & I are very alike. You fixate your gaze upon the mighty sun, and I, on the moon. You and I, we know the world around is dark. So we focus on light. You and I, we know our exteriors look happy, yellow, and our cores, dark, mellow. You and I, we know we can never own or be what we keep staring at. But we don't give up, we stare long enough to imbibe what we see. They see the sunshine in you, all warm and bright. They see the moonlight in me, glowing in the dark.
