White The empty nest in my garden, It's not a sad ending. The little ones come back When the garden is flowering. Their house doesn't collapse Whether it rains or wind blows. Sticking firmly to its roots, Their strength it shows. But they don't return to the nest Where the parents used to live. They have a found a new home Where they stay happily, I believe. I see them jumping and hopping, From one branch to the other. I hear their melodious chirp, I saw their colours and the feather. And before the sun goes down, They return to their place. Leaving a hope that they'll be back The next time, when it rains. ©Anagha Ukaskar #good_night #poem #Poetry
