One day, I bumped into...... One day, I bumped into a stranger in a library who reached the same book, which I was pulling out from the book shelf. Yes, we all see the same situation in movies, but the difference here was that the stranger was neither a woman nor a girl but an elderly man of around 70 years, and the surprising part was that we both pulled the book together. It's neither spiritual nor scientific, and not even literature. It was Mark Twain's classic, "The Adventures of Tom Sawyer." I looked at him and let go of my hands as I said, "I'm sure your grandchild will love it." He slowly turned around, smiled, and placed his hand on my shoulder before responding, "Me too!!! I have read it many times, and the more I read, the more I get younger. And then I walk down into memory lanes to join the adventure at the forest in our native village with my good old friend, just like Tom Sawyer and Huckleberry Finn." I miss the company of my childhood friends, who used to wait for my whistle to leap out of their house and join me for a ride along the hills before joining other friends on the ground for a game of kabaddi, gulli-danda, or pitthu! Those beautiful days are gone, never to return. ସ୍ମୃତି ଅଭୁଲା ଅତୀତର ଆମେ ଛୋଟ ଛୋଟ ହେଇଥିଲୁ । ପ୍ରତିଦିନ ସନ୍ଧ୍ୟା ସମୟରେ ଆମ ଅଜାଙ୍କ ଗପର ପେଡି ଖୋଲେ ଆମ ବାଡ଼ି ପଟ ମାଟି ବେଦୀ ଉପରେ । ଦଉଡି଼ଆ ଖଟ ଉପରେ ବସି ଅଜା ଆମର କହିଚାଲିଥାନ୍ତି କେତେ କେତେ ସତ ଗପ ଆଉ ଅଗଣିତ ମନଗଢା କାଳ୍ପନିକ କାହାଣୀ ।ଆମେ ସବୁ ତାଙ୍କ ଚାରିପଟେ ଚାହିଁବସିଥାଉ ଚାତକ ପକ୍ଷୀ ପରି । କେତେ ଭୂତ ପ୍ରେତର ଗପ ସବୁ କହୁଥିଲେ ଆମ ଅଜା ,ଆଉ ସେ ଗପ ଶୁଣି ଆମ ଲୋମ ଟାଙ୍କୁରି ଉଠୁଥିଲା ।ଭୟରେ ଆମେ ଆଉ ଟିକିଏ ଅଜାଙ୍କ ପାଖକୁ ଜାକି ହେଇଯାଉଥିଲୁ ।ଅଜା ବଢ଼େଇ ଦେଉଥିଲେ ତାଙ୍କ ପ୍ରଶସ୍ତ ବାହୁ । ଆମେ ପାଇଯାଉଥିଲୁ ଏକ ନିର୍ଭରଯୋଗ୍ୟ ଅଭୟ ଆଶ୍ରା । ତାଙ୍କ ବାହୁ ଛାୟା ତଳେ ଆମେ ନିଜକୁ ସବୁଠାରୁ ବଳବାନ୍ ମନେକରୁଥିଲୁ। କାହାଣୀ ଲମ୍ବିଚାଲୁଥିଲା ଆମ ଆଖି ପତା ନଇଁ ଯିବା ପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ । ଶେଷରେ ଆମେ ଶୋଇବା ପୂର୍ବରୁ, ଅଜା ତାଙ୍କ ଆଶାବାଡିରେ ଆମ ଚାରିପଟେ ଟାଣିଦେଉଥିଲେ ତିନୋଟି ଲକ୍ଷ୍ମଣ ରେଖା । ଆଉ ଆମ ସମସ୍ତଙ୍କର ଗଭୀର ବିଶ୍ୱାସ ଥାଏ ସେଇ ତିନିରେଖା ଉପରେ । ଆମ ପାଇଁ ସେଇ ତିନି ରେଖା ଥିଲା ସବୁଠାରୁ ମଜବୁତ ନିର୍ଭରଯୋଗ୍ୟ ସୁରକ୍ଷା ପ୍ରାଚୀର ।ଆମ ଆଖି ଆନନ୍ଦ ରେ ପୁରି ଉଠୁଥିଲା । ଆମେ ସେଇ ଛୋଟ ବେଳେ କେତେ ଗଭୀର ବିଶ୍ୱାସ କରୁଥିଲୁ ଆମ ବଡ଼ ମାନଙ୍କୁ । ହେଲେ ଆମେ ଯେତେବେଳେ ବଡ଼ ହେଇଯାଉଛେ ,ଧୀରେ ଧୀରେ ଆମ ନିଜ ବଳ ଆଉ ବୁଦ୍ଧି ବିକଶିତ ହେଇଯାଉଛି ଆମେ ସେତେ ଅସୁରକ୍ଷିତ ହେଇଯାଉଛେ । ସେଇ ଛୋଟ ବେଳର ପ୍ରଶାନ୍ତିର ନିଦ ଆମ ଆଖିରୁ ବିସ୍ମୃତ ହେଇଯାଉଛି । ସତରେ ପୁଣି ଥରେ ଫେରିଆସନ୍ତା କି ଆମର ସେଇ ପୁରୁଣା ଦିନ ଗୁଡିକ । 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏💐💐💐💐💐💐💐💐 ©PRANAY KUMAR SAHU #memorylane #Night
