वो बनके किरदार मेरी ज़िन्दगी में दिखता रहा, वो दोस्ती सुनाता रहा, मैं इश्क़ लिखता रहा! थी उसकी नज़रों में, हर चीज़ बस तिजा़रत ही, वो मेरा भाव लगाता रहा, मैं रोज़ बिकता रहा! एक तरफा ही थी शायद, मेरी राह-ए-मोहब्बत, वो दूरियाँ बनाता रहा, मैं उसी में मिलता रहा! मुझे उम्मीद थी वो शक्स, वो बा-वफ़ा होगा, वो फरेबी घाव बनाता रहा, मैं ज़ख्म सिलता रहा! ख़ुदा से ना रहा गिला, ना की शिकायत "कुमार", वो ख़ुद को जलाता रहा, मैं गुलों सा खिलता रहा! First time I tried to finish a gazal with different end. All she'r (except last one) is describing about pain and sorrow, but I ended this gazal with positive note for the writer. This gazal I am dedicating to my dearest brother Ramesh Kumar as without him it was not possible.
