We salvage what we can, what truly matters to us even in the gates of despair #salvage

I forage in our ruins to salvage relics that promised to make us but conspired otherwise. An excavation of a union is not for the faint hearted, the skeletal remains of past loves posing questions that render all our answers impotent. #ruins #union #salvage #relics #SkeletalRemains #YoPoWriMo18 #yqbaba

Feed me some more of your lies. Tell me that the squares we drew were octagons drawn with shrewd angles. Tell me the rain we held in our hands was the fire that was supposed to make my heart burn. Tell me that this isn't winter but spring in disguise collecting some more warmth for itself to thaw that icicle covered dream. Tell me this is a brighter shade of dark that's blinding my eyesight. I drank your lies like the elixir given to a terminally sick vagabond. I ate your lies like the last crumb of bread a starving stray doesn't wish to leave on its plate. I breathe your lies that the fish who's kept out of the water till it dwindles a bit more to the firbudden, no return side of life but gasps it with reverence when dropped back in water again. Your lies run all within me, and I'm oozing these lies to bloom more lies on my skin like the hyacinthes captivating the breathing pond. Now If I tell you I find you in the tears that I wept for you.. Where do you find yourself residing? ... Meh. . . Tryna salvage something out of my no activity, embarassingly lazy November in it's deathbed. Corona can I blame you? Take this

Thanks and gratitude sir Cijo Joseph Chennelil for reading my poem SOMETHING I LOOK AT-46 and writing a beautiful critical appreciation on it Smruti Ranjaniji, Your poem titled"Something I Look at-46" is a poem that depicts a world which is in a state of turmoil and chaos. In our inner beings we are at war with ourselves with respect to which ideology to adopt,we have two options, one is related to a world of values and ideals which can add a moral framework to the society at large and other is a world which is in the grip of use and throw culture and crass commercialisation. The bulk number of people in the world does swim with the currents by embracing this culture of manipulation and radicalisation implemented and carried forward in the name of shortsighted development and wayward progress. In the outside world we are confronted with existential crisis in which if we want to live an upright life,we are looked through the prism of suspicion. The world is such where established principles do get hammered and violated in favour of a world which chases shadows of various dimensions and categories. The world is affected by conflicts of multiple pedigrees such as ethnic cleansing, extrajudicial killings, summary executions, prosecution and persecution of the innocent, murders in the name of religions, castes and creeds and deliberate and wanton vitiation of the political atmosheres and governance systems.Today lies are presented as truths and truths are presented as lies. The media networks and social networking sites prolong and protract the culture of untruths.Fake news and paid news have become part of our intellectual diets and menu.We have a society in the threshold of reaping the harvest of the poisonous and venomous seeds,it has sown in the fertile ground of hatred. The post truths and new normalities have become the order of the day.The pretentious behaviouria patterns are enacted everywhere and everyone wears masks which will one day slip and everyone stands thoroughly exposed as a result of it.The only way the world can be salvaged is to create an atmosphere in the world which promotes the principles of love, truth, brotherhood and peace.Let us hope for such an optimistic and sanguine tomorrow.Kudos to you for writing such a marvellous poem bringing forth the inconsistencies we human beings encounter in a world of quicksand in terms of ideologies and ideals. SOMETHING I LOOK AT-46 BY-SMRUTI RANJAN MOHANTY Conflict both inside and outside inside it is a struggle between mind and conscience between the values I inculcated and the goals I cherish Outside it is a war of me against all between what I relish and what I accomplish it is a continuous struggle of each against all for the avenues of life, comfort, luxury, pelf, power, recognition and all that make modern life a beauty With the tide of desires running high and the wind of instincts and emotions propelling it the real I seem to be sadly missing in the horizon To reconcile the irreconcilable conflicts in life one has to peep inside to have a glimpse of his real nature which is but divinity expanded and to understand the futility of rat race for accomplishment appreciation and recognition which gives nothing but more desires, more conflicts and pain Happiness and peace of mind all that one needs at the end of the day never comes out of worldly pursuits it descends as self realisation and lies in a contented mind where there is no conflict what so ever copyright@smrutiranjan 25.6.2017 #Thanks and gratitude sir Cijo Joseph Chennelil for reading my poem SOMETHING I LOOK AT-46 and writing a beautiful critical appreciation on

Thanks and gratitude to eminent poet and literary critic Prof Cijo Joseph Cennelil for writing a beautiful critical appreciation on my poem 'ALL OF A SUDDEN'. Thank you so much sir for your wonderful words of appreciation. Smrutiji, Your poem titled "All of a Sudden" is a poem that drives home to us the message that afterall not everything is lost in this time of lockdown as a result of the Coronavirus wreaking havoc on the health conditions of all sections and age groups of the population of this world. This virus infestation has taken the world by storm. It had started in Wuhan and now it has had a lethal global reach and propagation like never before. The world today encounters an unprecedented health emergency and we are not sure what is in store for us in years to come.We are all asked to remain at our homes so that the worst things that would arise out of this pandemic don't touch us in any way,but still we are not sure about what will pan out in the future as a direct result of this virus having already taken a stranglehold over us.Amidst this existential crisis, something is salvaged, that is that,we have begun to look at each other.Within our families, people have made bridges towards each other. We also now understand our dependency upon each other. We need to make this Coronavirus crisis as an opportunity for ourselves to retune our lives to a level of sustainability by turning towards the bosom of nature and thereby we start living a life more in conformity and tandem with the needs and requirements of nature and her surroundings.Let us till and cultivate the land during this lockdown so that we create an ideal relationship with nature which is essential for building up a life of quality-oriented nature rather than a life of mechanical tone and tenor.Kudos to you for composing such a poem of fantastic nature. Cijo Joseph Chennelil. Kuravilangad 2020@ A LOOK AT LIFE-96 BY-SMRUTI RANJAN MOHANTY ALL OF A SUDDEN Since long We have been under the same roof Not being bothered about each other Remaining within ourself without trespassing Into other's domain All of sudden how could you become So serious and possessive about me And me too about you and your well being? I know what you are thinking You know what I am thinking Corona has brought us together Given us the break to look at life To feel its rhythm and rhyme To make good the moments lost And fall in love with each other once again. For the first time, I feel You are for me and I am for you We are for each other and together We are for the rest of the world Our common enemy has dragged us together The world has become a big family Cutting across frontiers, Language, region and religion We have come together Sharing the same emotions and feelings Frustrations and agony Our survival is at stake, existence in jeopardy Neither you want to die nor I want to We are living in constant fear of death What worse can happen to someone still alive. Let us remain close to each other Love and live in isolation To ensure that we live beyond the corona syndrome To welcome the new sun For the first time We are far away from The madding crowd's ignoble strife The speed and hectic pace of life There is silence both inside and outside The silence may be the prelude To a violent storm Or the moment of enlightenment We have been looking forward to since long Let us never go outside Remain in isolation, in the safety of home Encourage others to remain inside This is the call of time By living for ourselves We will be living for others The world is a big family And we are for each other That is the only way We can fight the deadly virus. We are not fighting a war A war-like situation or economic depression We are fighting against something unprecedented To which there is hardly an answer It is a fight of each for all Our kids are locked abroad We are locked so also others That is the verdict of nature And the lockdown is definitely for a better And less horrible tomorrow We must understand It is a battle for our survival A battle where we all are all involved Be with the system fighting the virus Obey the orders or else You can not imagine Where we will be. What is there in store.
