I write 2021 I'm sitting outside while I write In a couple hours it will be daylight Rain has been falling overnight Now everything is wet in sight The chill in the air has a bite Cover up in your blankets tight Seeing this weather will not excite But I have a hot coffee to my delight The caffeine gets my brain to ignite In my head I read over and recite Maybe I can give a bit of insight My stomach feels like it's in a dogfight Perhaps its time to tend to my appetite My belly sometimes is not very polite I will end this and I will take flight As for now I will go back inside ©Schizology I write 2021 #write #2021 #poem✍🧡🧡💛

I write 2021

I'm sitting outside while I write
In a couple hours it will be daylight
Rain has been falling overnight
Now everything is wet in sight
The chill in the air has a bite
Cover up in your blankets tight
Seeing this weather will not excite
But I have a hot coffee to my delight
The caffeine gets my brain to ignite
In my head I read over and recite
Maybe I can give a bit of insight
