हवा संग आते हैं, बादलों के दस्ते! चले जाते हैं, बिलखते, सरसते!! किसी हाल में, भींगता हूँ नहीं मैं! हो चाहे दुनियाँ, पूरी ही जलमय!! न बढ़ता, न बहता, रहता खड़ा हूँ! क्या सोच कर मैं, ज़िद पे अड़ा हूँ? गए सारे बादल, वहीं पर रुका हूँ! न कुछ चाहता हूँ, न ही भूखा हूँ!! आते कितने परिंदे, लेते मेरे फेरे! गाते ,चहचहाते , सांझ वो सवेरे!! भरी दोपहर में, तपती डगर में! हरसूँ रहता खड़ा, हो बेखबर मैं!! ओस टपकाती, चाँदनी रात में भी! ठिठुरता न मरता, रहता खड़ा ही!! कितने रंग देखे हैं, मौसम के मैंने! बदला न खुद को, जैसा हूँ पड़ा हूँ!! लगाया हूँ काजल, पूरे ही चेहरे पे! कोई बुरी नज़र से, मुझको न देखे!! न खरीदा किसी ने, बस नाम का हूँ! जिंदा नहीं मैं, फ़िर भी काम का हूँ!! जन्मा था सूखा, अभी तक सूखा हूँ! दिमाग़ मत खपाओ,मैं तो बिजूका हूँ!!
