"Aren't you too bitter? Why not just be grateful, for once? Don't you even realize That there're lots of others Who suffer more than you do, Right now?" I staunchly remain silent; Because, ah! It's so easy to preach-- To pinpoint "shoulds" and "coulds" When one isn't the unlucky fellow Shackled, aching, and bleeding In the excruciating midst Of a gruesome storm, isn't it? For, sometimes, It isn't about incessant whinging; Most instances, It's just about stating What's perpetually ignored. "Callous" #Callous #diwa #yqbaba

I stand here and fidget-- Stunned into laborious silence; Yet, I know that there's something, I need to accomplish; Something that's significant-- And that if I don't act now; Then, I'll lose my stance And I'll terribly regret it; But, another thought Inundates my mind-- A whisper that reminds me Of those instances When I've lost so many moments To fleeting, callous chance. Then, as if someone shoves me, I let the sensation flow And acknowledge The insistent verse that crowds My feeble psyche. I look him in the eye, this time; "I love you," I manage to vocalize. "Seizing The Moment" I stand here and fidget-- Stunned into laborious silence; Yet, I know that there's something, I need to accomplish; So

Questioning Death Oh Death, Tell me, what is your rule? Why so cruel? It's been years, you had me fooled- Fake smiles on the outside, while my inside's- A Ghoul! (Full poem in the caption) Questioning Death You bring grief, you bring glory You end one, yet birth another story. You crush the callous ones down to their knees Mak

You surprised me with a hurtful attack And I flared up on you, my dear, By screaming a retort filled with righteous choler; Then, you accused me of disrespect and abuse, Adapting a voice of the softest magnitude. Some may believe that I was the one in the wrong; For, the loud decibels spewing from my lips were evident, While you murmured mellifluous locutions Solely meant for me to hear, darling. What they didn't perceive were the callous verses Gurgling out of your mouth, as you made me take in The poison that would kill my most beloved dreams. Yes, I may have been shamelessly audacious As I hopelessly defended myself from your biting scythe; Yet, you were the victor as you manipulated The elaborate scene to suit your own motives-- Shattering my stubborn will to bits. What the world forgot was that things Weren't always what they seemed-- And that demons may appear as beauteous angels Adorned with iridescent halos and wings, While speaking with forked tongues And enshrouded tails of filth. "Fabricated Truth" You surprised me with a hurtful attack And I flared up on you, my dear, By screaming a retort filled with righteous chol

I saw endless, brutal strife where old friends Turned into sudden, callous foes And every passage was sealed up Against these former comrades, posthaste. Then, as the enemies tried to decimate Our hurriedly-constructed blockages, A violent fight between two brothers Came to a startling boil. Blood, splattered blood, dripped Without mercy down the unforgiving floor While enemies, inveigling to paralyze us, Were duly ignored. I could hear the anguished plea of a sibling-- Pleading for a bit of compassion, Yelling for a tendril of breath-- His bleeding head, mangled and grubby. I let my eyes roam all over the room-- Searching for a glimmer of receding hope; Then, I realized that my father Was in deep, oblivious slumber While a show of ruthless destruction Continued to take place; And so, I shouted and I implored-- In a tortured voice, I beseeched, "Father! Father, please help us! Father, please!" I heard myself screaming for his succor As the vicious chaos slowly encroached And vanquished each terrorized soul. Then, I grabbed my rosary and started to pray-- Tears garbling my words, clogging up my throat. "Nightmare" I saw endless, brutal strife where old friends Turned into sudden, callous foes And every passage was sealed up Against these
