From the core of my heart the strings goes tangled, For the shades you carry, the shades that gets mingled. All wake up in the morning, all sleeps with the moon, What's happen in between only knows the noon Those twinkling eyes, that breath helding spark & the soul that's completely serene, My heart starts to tickle off, whenever you surprisingly arrive in my dream. Falling hopes, drowning life, no one to arrive, none to wait, In the dull of moments, even strongest coffee starts losing it's taste. I sing the verses your mind desires The melancholy of defeat, easier than a prayer, Your pleased face couldn't beam enough, For my vanity had played its share, The soul feels empty, The stares too long into the abyss, I sneak out the empty pages, Willing the quill to spill its ink with my despairs, The act felt brave, but as though an imposter, Is someone out there for me? A delusion, perhaps... The ink don't spill, The hands are ensnared, Was it all just a passing breeze, The imposition of a false bravado, Would the pages forever be empty, Haunted by your immortal chords, Someday when the tunes are passé And the soul and mind entwined, I wish upon the shooting stars, To bless upon my quill. It matters not that you practically levitate in wonderland 24x7, That being a couch potato brings you more joy than being a french fry, You would rather orate the whole verse in mind than pen it down, When flushing the whole page out is easier than owning up to your work, Even if all you are able to do is rhyme tree and free, Even if there are thousands fireflies more beautiful than yours, Even if your poem looks like a doodle which you thought was a painting, Even after all the what ifs, Never let that finger stray to press backspace, Maybe someday sitting inside a cubicle your hand may find itself back to your scribbles, Grazing your fingertips along the lines while sipping your black coffee, You would feel a wave of emotion take over you, And let that old little soul rejoice the poetic days of its life, Nostalgic for the days it lived through his words.... I know the world tells you, metaphors are nothing but lies. Personifying is just you projecting. Similes are just vague comparisons. Poetry is pointless. But remember sometimes the truth in you needs lies to communicate. Sometimes imagination can be a better friend than people. Sometimes what keeps you alive is more important than what nails you to your bed. Poetry is pointless like life. It's the meaning you give it that makes it have a point. So, make your poems as pointy as swords people u

Firm pose,tight grasp around the cell, Fingers drumming nervously on the wall beside, Slight sheen of sweat glimmering on the forehead A cool breeze welcomed as a relief.
