It has no fear of deep water Rowing from one end to another Facing all sides of river When the water is deep & Storm is blunt The boat is rowing with Full enthusiaism across the river A tap at the pane, the quick sharp scratch And blue spurt of a lighted match, And a voice less loud, thro’ its joys and fears, Than the two hearts beating each to each!
