Part-1 Like an innocent child, suddenly He rushed pushing us away. Holding his favourite coffee cup And a plate of parle in hand. In a way to conquer some throne He thrived like a solider in battlefield We all stood just watching him In astonishment we flapped lids And what do we witnessed afterall A childish behaviour in him Just to sit on his old wooden chair And watch his favourite film on air. Part-2 The one which played many roles lifelong Sometimes like a chair to sit Sometimes like a swing to play Sometimes like a bed to sleep Sometimes like a castle to reside. Everytime I see him sit on it His face glows and glows Bright and beautifully with light Carrying us back to childhood this sight To the days which in we felt Heavenly in his arms on his chair. Singing and swinging in his chair Untill sleeping fairy resides over eyes Playing and hiding around his chair Was our only favourite dare Yes! Time and Departure The armchair right infront, Is empty now. The evening with a cup of tea, Seems void, a little more. No more talks of the entire day, No more crooning of classics, No more opening up of an old album, No more soothing chaos of the breeze. Since the day of walking together, Every bliss and worries, we shared. Since the day of living together, It were the promises, we cared.
