And all this while, I wasn't able to write. But I tried. Some half baked feelings, some unclear sentences and many many draft messages. Till I wrote those 2 lines. I don't even remember how I did, or when I did. It just came to me and I wrote it, cried for a bit and re read it a dozen times. It felt right. It felt right because that's how I felt. And since then, I have managed to re read those lines many times over...to write more, process the grief, let it out. Something, I guess, they also do in therapy. But I'll never know, I've got my writing. Part 3 of 3 #thingaboutgrief #grief #letter #therapy

Writing is like therapy for me. I'll tell you why. 2 months ago, when I lost my Nani, I felt broken beyond any measurement. After a month of processing it, I was able to write how I have been feeling. Behind those 2 written lines, there were 2 million thoughts- unheard, unsaid and unwritten. But I knew I had to write, I knew I had take those thoughts out of my system as they were driving me crazy. You know, the kinds where you build up the guilt of not being there, the remorse of all the last words you could have said, the distorted memories of the last time you met, the made up situations all starting with "What If"....
