There's plenty of time for that! Why waste your time working so hard now when you could be enjoying the summer like me?" As the summer passed and autumn arrived, the grasshopper realized that the ant was right. The weather grew colder, and food became scarce. The grasshopper, who had not saved any food for the winter, grew hungry and weak. He went to the ant's home and asked for some food. The ant, who had prepared for the winter, gave the grasshopper a small share of his food. He then said, "You should have thought of winter while it was still summer."
