What is the colour of Rain? Staring out from the bedroom's window, I could see that the sky was covered with a sheet of dark fluffy clouds & the colour of rain is grey. And then I look at a group of street kids who are playing in the puddle, unbothered about sanitation and hygiene & now colour of the rain is brown. My eyes wander to the gate of my building. There are kids on the way to school. They all go to the same school as they all have the same uniforms which is white. They are jumping in harmony and unison. The water filled near the building gate is still cleaner than that puddle on the road. Now colour of the rain is white. I look at the apartment opposite of mine. A couple moved in a few days back. They have fitted yellow lights near their window And are grooving on some romantic song which is not audible to me. And now the colour of the rain is yellow. Then I noticed the house of another couple. The wife had bruises all over her body, maybe she was hit by her husband again today. Her face is swollen and purple. And now the colour of rain seemed purple. Then I saw our famous Bhelpuri vendor. The vendor is almost the beloved because he serves the best bhelpuris in town. People are hiding under his shade and he is serving them fresh Bhelpuris with Green chutney. And now the colour of rain is Green. Mr. Nair Ex president of our society from the next apartment has drainage problems. I see all this water has yet again found its way into their apartment. He is ready to fight the battle with his wiper. And now the colour of rain is blue. Maybe I should fry some Moongdal ke pakode with Pudina chutney for myself because grey doesn't seem to be my colour. After all, the colour of rain is all you can imagine it to be. ©Nitin K. एक थी तितली रानी, मस्ती में बडी शानी इधर उधर भटकती थी कलियाँ, यह तो फूलो की शहजादी उसकी खुशी न इतनी सस्ती, जो आये उसके आँखों में पानी एक दिन बन्झर सा, जो लाया उसकी आँखों में पानी हाँ, यह तड़प थी, जो मिटा सकता था सिर्फ बारिश का पानी न सहा गया अंबर से, कि रोइ तितली रानी....!! सोचा दें तौफा प्यारा, फिर से लाएँ मुस्कान प्यारी निकाला अपना बादलों का रथ, और कहा, चलो भिगाएँ धरती सारी लाकर दिया तौफा उसे, जो था बारिश का पानी अब मेरा आशियाना बना धरती, कहके झूम उठी तितली रानी #तितली #बारिश #firstrain #story #yqbaba #yqdidi #yqhindi
